stamped watercolor petals

Here's another card for this week's Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes:

Recently, my friend asked me for a few sympathy cards for his patients. This was one of the few that I made for him. Originally, I intended to watercolor, but my painting skills still needs work. Thankfully, I got out my Stampin' Up stamps and found these flowers similar to the ones I had envisioned.

To add the final touch, I added pastel dots and a black/white washi on the sides. Lastly, I used some fun foam and popped the panel up to give it some depth.

stormy weather = crafting indoors

It has been super hot lately but no rain insight; however, yesterday was a different story. The day started out just like another summer day, but it got windy and dark real fast so I went to flicker on the lights. Before I knew it, the rain was pouring. Looking out the window, it appears as if the street was flooded a little. I heard loud thunder. While the rain was pouring, I was enjoying another crafty afternoon. Somehow, I felt super productive when I craft during a storm. Despite the weather, I'm still making and producing!

For Simon Says: Anything Goes (Wednesday challenge), I made this card set:

Disclaimer, the original design is not mine. I found the original of this card on Pinterest. Unfortunately I didn't pin it or liked it, so I don't have the link. HOWEVER, I did alter the design and colors a bit. So I suppose, this is somewhat my own design.

The set here consist of: thank you, anniversary, birthday, and love card. I'm working on a fifth one to complete my set of five. I'm intending to sell this at the next craft show!

colors: royal velvet, winter wisteria, spring rain, enchanted evening, lavender moon, plum pudding, autumn rose, sweet blush, tropical teal, aqua mist, summer sunrise (all PTI)

Sparkle and Shine

I've been away from my crafting because I just got back from the mountains in Canada. Lots of nature, wild life, and good times & fun with my boyfriend and his family. The only part that was annoying was the bugs. They're vicious!

Now I'm back in the comfort of my own home, with no bugs around, I made a few more wedding cards from some scrap pieces of patterned paper I had lying around. These cards also matched this week's Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge: Sparkle and Shine.

It's a simple card but it stands out. The shinny and sparkly trim and circles makes the color gold pops out real well. You can't really see, but the front is actually popped up with some foam, which gave it some dimension. I made another one just like it with another piece of pattern paper.

You can really see the shine on the paper. Congratulations is embossed with some gold glitter in it as well.

winter on July 4th

Even though it's a holiday, I somehow manage to wake up super early, thanks to the lovely birds, in the neighborhood, chirruping away ever so loudly.

Here's another for this week's Simon Wednesday Challenge: We are going dotty! This is also an entry to PTI Make It Monday Challenge #216.

Originally this was going to be birthday card. However, when I started coloring "happy" in shades of blue, I thought to myself, "winter is more like it!" So I changed sequence colors and the background to a textured, dotted paper to mimic snow. And then I added silver glitter wash tape to give it some spark.

I tried to angle the card and change the flash setting on the camera to help reveal some of the snow dots in the background. Here's another picture.

yellow + orange = summer

My good friend, Grace, is getting hitched in less than three weeks! And her bridal shower is this weekend. I need a card for her but didn't find anything good in what I have made already. I was scrolling through Simon Monday Challenge: Summer. The color yellow and orange keeps coming into my mind. So I had to make a card with those colors! Plus her favorite color is orange.

I liked how this card turned out and decided to making it in purple as well, along with a different inside message. These turned out so lovely! They're perfect for the upcoming wedding and bridal showers.

dots & scrabble

Ashley and I have been working on getting our inventory together for the upcoming holiday shows in the fall and winter. It has been so much crafting! I can't believe I'm thinking and designing for Christmas already!

I've came up with this personalized card set using dots as the theme. It just so happen that Simon Says challenge this week: We're Going Dotty! matches perfectly! I made sets of six cards. The name is personalized/customized.

I really like how the colors came out. It's so festive! For the lighter colored stamps, I did a second generation stamping technique.

Colors and cardstock: Stampin' Up Regals
